Our Quality Assurance procedures are in place to ensure that our young members receive an high quality Youth provision. We achieve this through a continuous cycle of improvement that is based on planning to meet the identified needs of young people and by regularly reviewing our work practices to identify further areas of development. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement we are dedicated to achieving quality assurance standards. Stated below are the quality standards and awards we have achieved.
National Mentoring & Befriending Quality Mark
Received in recognition of the Youth Action Mentoring Project. Over two years over 450 young people have been through this programme going onto training, education, employment, enterprise or volunteering opportunities. Several members of our team have achieved the Advice & Guidance NVQ level 3 and one at level 4.
Make Space Quality Mark
Awarded by the national quality committee recognising that Youth Action is committed and can demonstrate to providing a high quality and safe environment for children and young people to evolve in.
Youth action was awarded the Matrix standard for its IAG (information, advice and guidance). The Matrix Standard is the national Quality Mark for any organisations that deliver information, advice and guidance on learning and work.
In recognition of Youth Action holding the externally verified PQASSO kite mark for quality assurance. The Practical Quality Assurance System for Small Organisations mark covers key areas of the organisation to ensure that it is meeting in the first instances in its legal obligations and secondly that services are reviewed and evaluated to meet the needs of users who are engaging with Youth Action services.
